Revised Nuclide Database For the Health Physicist's Companion (HP Companion)

As part of Syberad's policy of keeping the data used by the HP Companion up-do-date, the first revision of the nuclide database is now available for download.  Click here to copy the new database to your HP Companion installation.

Installation Notes:

NB.  Make sure that the HP Companion is not open when you install the new data files.

The nuclide data files need to be copied to the 'Data' folder of the HP Companion installation.

After clicking the above link, choose the "Save" option when the download dialogue box displays.  Next, choose a temporary folder in which to store the downloaded database files, and then click the "Save" button.  The download will then proceed.

When the download has finished, use the Windows File Explorer to navigate to the downloaded file's location and run it.  NB. Make sure that the HP Companion has been closed down before you do this.

Finally, when the unzip dialogue displays, click its "Start" button to complete installation of the new files.  NB. If you did not install the HP Companion to the default folder then before clicking the "Start" button, you must change the destination folder in this dialogue box to the 'Data' folder location of your installed copy of the HP Companion.

If you need any help with installing the new data files, do feel free to contact Syberad at: DataFilesHelp@syberad.co.uk
